Connie Teel, Vice President of the Farm Bureau State Women's Committee giving a check towards The Ronald McDonald House in Scranton to Richard Bradshaw, Director of the Scranton Ronald McDonald House, for $2,725. The money was raised by local farm bureau members from Wyoming, Lackawanna, Susquehanna, Wayne and Pike counties. The food checkout day signifies the amount of time it takes the average family to make enough money to put the food on their table for the entire year, this year it took less than five weeks. The most inexpensive of any country in the world.
