Citizens Bank has teamed up with the United Way of Pike County in donating school supplies to give to Pike County citizens who need them.  These items include book bags filled with pencils, pens, erasers, markers and rulers.  The supply is limited and distribution is based on a first come, first serve basis.  If you or anyone you know could use these supplies, call Christine Obser at the Human Development Office in Milford at 296-3434.  

Honesdale High School will be a test center for the College Entrance Exams (SAT's) on the following dates:

Students who wish to be tested on any of these dates must mail an application prior to the registration  deadline.   Applications are available at Honesdale High School's Guidance Office.   Students may also register online at www.collegeboard.com.  The high school suggests you apply early.  The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Test (ASVAB) will be given on one date, Thursday, October 18th to any interested juniors or seniors.  There is no charge and no military obligation.  All branches of the armed services require this test.  Interested students must register with a counselor by Friday, October 5th.

New Covenant Fellowship Church needs your help!  They are starting up Operation Christmas Child for boys and girls ages 2-14.  These children are victims of disaster areas globally and across our states.  Their goal is to fill 100 plastic shoe boxes with lids with items such as toys, school supplies, hygienic needs, baseball caps, gloves and lollypops but no perishables or war-related toys.  Please mark the box boy or girl.  If possible include $7 with each box for shipping, but any donation is truly appreciated.  Drop off places include:  Alpine Restaurant, Rt. 6., Honesdale, Woodloch Pines, Hawley or at this radio station.
